What is Invisalign?
Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is made with 3D computer imaging technology that has been proven fast and effective. Invisalign design software makes the process more predictable for doctors, giving the patient the best possible result.
How Does It Work?
You wear each set of aligners for about two to three weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little — until they have straightened to the final position as prescribed. You’ll visit our office about every two to six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time usually ranges 6-18 months.

How does Invisalign work?
Does Invisalign treatment hurt?
Because there is pressure being exerted on your teeth during Invisalign treatment, you may experience some minor discomfort. Patients usually report this discomfort when wearing a new aligner. Discomfort associated with wearing new aligners generally wears off once your teeth have adjusted and can be managed with over the counter pain medications. One benefit to Invisalign, however, is that you will not have to deal with the soft tissues of your mouth being rubbed or poked like you would with traditional metal braces.
How long does Invisalign treatment last?
The average time span for Invisalign treatment is about 12-18 months, however your individual treatment may be shorter or longer depending on your case. During your initial consultation, Dr. Kim will be able to give you a better idea of how long your individual Invisalign treatment will last.
What is the price of Invisalign?
The cost of Invisalign treatment can range anywhere from $2,700-$5,500. However, the cost of your individual treatment will depend upon your individual case. This cost will be discussed with you during your consultation prior to receiving treatment.
What happens after Invisalign treatment?
After your Invisalign treatment is complete, you will need to wear a retainer to maintain your new smile. With Invisalign, you can either choose between a traditional wire retainer or a more discreet clear retainer. With most treatments, you are to wear your retainer full time at first and then you can gradually progress to wearing it only at night. To keep your smile in place, it is extremely important that you follow Dr. Kim’s instructions regarding your retainer.
